Currently, I am half way through In Our Time. Sadly, this is the first and only Hemingway novel I have ever read. For the longest time I was trying to compare the writing in In Our Time’s to the style used in the Great Gatsby because I believed them both to be written by the same author. It wasn’t until my sister reminded me that The Great Gatsby was in fact written by F. Scott Fitgerald that I realized my mistake. It just goes to show how many classics I have never read! Anyways, back to In our time! So far, I am enjoying Hemingway’s style of writing. I haven’t decided which my favorite chapter is yet, but I really enjoyed the first story about the Indian woman and the doctor. I also liked the chapter about crazy homeless man and his companion. I found their relationship to be very amusing!
