One huge event that took place in the late 1960s were the Manson murders. Charles Mason since childhood had had problems with the law, before the murders he went to prison twice before becoming the head of the “Mason Family” which consisted of mainly women. Mason believed that African Americans would slowly take over the Caucasian race and therefore would gain control of everything. This is why Mason and his women began creating songs with subliminal messages of how to kill African Americans. Mason later on shot Bernard Crowe, who he believed was one of the Black Panthers. This was only the beginning he later went on to murder five other people. I have always heard people make references to Charles but I never really knew who he was.
