Just now, I read the back of the book and was totally taken by surprised the story plot…I thought was just going to be different from what I read but I guess its more interesting if there’s a sadistic psychopath who hates his dad.
Anyway, I felt some sympathy for Guy, who’s getting a divorce from his wife, who is pregnant with another man’s child, which isn’t right because she once aborted Guy’s and that’s such a horrible thing to do. As I read along I saw some things that I thought would be awesome quotes from the story:
“I tell him his business, all business, is legalized throat-cutting, like marriage is legalized fornication. Am I right?”
This is what he says about his father, who he hates very much, and his business.
I gotta say, Bruno says the darnest things ever! Another one I like from Bruno was one that basically sums up Carpe Diem and YOLO (blegh):
“Everything. I got a theory a person ought to do everything it’s possible to do before he dies, and maybe die trying to do something that’s really impossible.”
I’m just loving what Bruno says so far!
