Second Half

I just finished the second half of In Our Time, and although it got a little slow, there were still some interesting stories. It is important to note that I did not feel that same sense of loss that Hemingway conveyed in the previous stories. The only real connection I made between the stories was the abundance of animals. I like how Hemingway gave us a recurring character in. My personal favorite was the last two, because after the relative bloodshed of the earlier stories, it was interesting how Hemingway chose to end the book. It felt a little ominous, yet relaxing.
